Waynetown - Grover Lee Harshbarger, 73 of Rt 6, Crawfordsville died at 12:28 p.m. Friday at Home Hospital in Lafayette wehre he had been a patient the past 10 days. Mr. Harshbarger had been in poor health for one year and seriously ill since March 9. Born Aug 15, 1892 at the Liberty Community in northwestern Montgomery County, he was a son of Charles and Anna Cowan harshbarger. He was married to Dessie Marie Cope at Liberty on Dec 12, 1917. Mr. Harshbarger was a member of the Liberty Church the New Richmond Masonic Lodge NO 604, the Capitular Masonry in Crawfordsville, and the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis. He had served as master of the New Richmond Lodge of which he was a 50-year member in 1937, 1938 and 1940. He was also an honorary member of the Linden Masonic Lodge. A veteran of WWI, Mr. Harshbarger attended Breaks and Crawfordsville schools. He was a farmer. He is survived by two sons, Warren and Richard, both of Rt 6, two daughters-in-law, Doris and Judy; 8 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mae Olin of Rt 4, two brothers, Ralph and Lloyd both of Rt 6, Crawfordsville, and an aunt, Mrs. Minnie Widener of Coldwater, Mich. His wife and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Patton preceded him in death. Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Servies Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Masonic graveside services will be conducted at Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home - kbz
